Deck and fence
Wood needs a lighter touch than concrete and a heavier one than siding, which is the whole difficulty.
Grey, fuzzy decking is not dirt. It is the surface layer of the wood breaking down under UV and moisture, with mildew living in it. Cleaning removes that layer and exposes sound wood underneath, which is why a cleaned deck looks so much lighter.
Pressure has to be matched to the board. Too much and you raise the grain and leave permanent wand marks; too little and the grey stays. Composite decking has its own rules again, and the manufacturer usually publishes a maximum.

A brightener evens the tone, then the wood needs to dry fully before any stain goes on.
Common questions
Can you stain it too?
Cleaning and staining are separate jobs, and the wood has to dry properly in between. We will tell you how long to wait for the conditions.
Will the grey come back?
Not quickly, if the deck is sealed afterwards. Bare wood left unsealed at the shore will start greying again within a season or two.
My composite deck has stains, will this work?
Usually. Composite holds mildew in its texture and cleans up well at low pressure. We follow the manufacturer maximum.
